When I first read the scientific studies about how something as simple as meditation can change your life I couldn’t believe it! But as I continued to read more about it, I was fascinated with what I discovered. It turns out meditation can actually rewire your brain! Over the last decade, interest in the science of meditation has increased drastically. We now know more than ever about meditation and how it can benefit us. The increased research has brought up a number of fascinating facts about meditation, meditation can prevent heart diseases, reduce stress or the fact that it can significantly reduce ADHD symptoms. Meditation is incredibly effective in reducing stress and anxiety. Studies have shown that when practicing meditation for more than 3 months, it will significantly lower your stress levels. It was shown that meditation increases the cognition and increases your ability to perform tasks requiring focus. Telomeres are also known as the protective caps at the end of our chromosomes.  Longer telomeres mean that you are more likely to live longer. Telomerase is the enzyme that helps build telomeres. The more telomerase you produce, you have bigger chances of translating that to longer and stronger telomeres.
